308,000 miles but time to change - advice please

Honda petrol engines are about as reliable as they come as long as you adhere to regular and correct servicing. Not sure about the 2.0 but 2.4's tend to need a clutch around the 80k mark. All cars with timing chains will eventually require a swap out as chains can stretch, guides wear out etc. I...

    Got me a Type S

Link here http://typeaccord.co.uk/forum/topic/20256-diy-civic-8-steering-wheel-on-pre-facelift-accord-7th-i-ctdi/ You'll have to swap the detonators etc, the op didn't mention if they actually got the buttons mapped I think. It might be a lot simpler and safer to fit an aftermarket wheel and...

    Got me a Type S

There is a thread on here with a fn2 wheel swap, no way of testing if the airbag still functions though (without setting it off!) you could fit an aftermarket boss and wheel but then lose your controls/airbag.

    Got me a Type S

Electric seat swap will be a mission, lowering springs - same as every other car, drop the shocks replace the springs and get the car re-aligned. Fine if you've the tools and the know how

    Suspected oil leak

Probably for the best fluid wise, I've heard using non genuine can affect pump performance and possibly damage in the long term.

Ways to make 2.4 executive slightly louder

The 2.4s sound pretty good at full chat with a cold air intake, steves diy would be the cheapest route and might even sneak a couple of horses in too. That way you can cruise in relative silence and just plant your foot when you fancy some sound effects. Bigger the smile - bigger the (placebo)...

    Terrible Fuel Economy (Petrol) MPG

As above servicing and decent oil with frequent changes is key, most importantly ensure your valve clearances have been checked and adjusted at that mileage. dont think the auto box or weight of the tourer are doing many favours on the economy front. Plus one for your tyre pressures and...

7th Gen 2.4 Clutch Replacement Options

As above 600 was the price at Honda iirc, personally would not have a clutch swapped at main dealer without good reason. I would say in the U.K. 600 pounds isn't that bad if like you say 4-6 hours labour when you consider the average cost of labour per hour over here.

    Looking to buy Accord 2.4 i VTEC Type S 5dr - advice?

no normal flywheel, at that mileage clutch should be no problem (unless it's been driven hard all it's life). The oem clutches tend to last around 80k
