    Hi guys, Today and yesterday I had just started my car and tried to select reverse gear but even though the stick went into reverse position the gear was not selected. Anyone know what this means in terms of where the problem lies? DMF? Clutch? Gearbox? any help would be appreciated. thanks

    All seems fine now, it started very quickly and I cant see any problems so happy days! cheers guys! just gotta sort out the knocking at the front and the intermittent window motor and i think i'm done :)

    I was really asking to see if anyone had come across this before so when i do take it to Honda to be looked at they have something to go on. Last time i took it to Chiswick Honda they only suggested the drop link which was then done at HH. However the knock is still there.

    and the knock only happens once until i either slow down again or accelerate again then it will happen again.

    Just put it in and all seems fine now. It cranks much quicker but I will check this tomorrow morning to know for sure. Thanks all :)

    Ok i got the battery today but before i fit it, is there anything I need to do on this car in preparation? I mean will i lose functionality of the radio or anything after the reset? also it it the negative terminal that i remove first? Cheers!

    I agree Brett, I have just ordered a Bosch S5 Silver and should get it next week some time. Out of interest, is that a good choice for the Accord? I will let you all know if this corrects the problem :)

    You don't suspect the alternator? I will be much happier if the battery is the cause though :)
