How large is the fuel tank on a Honda Accord estate ?

It's an extremely generous fuel warning light! I've just done yet another 400mile tank and still only got 56 litres in it!

DIY Cold Air Intake for 7th Gen Petrol

Cool. It sounded like you were worried you were going to kill your engine by driving through a puddle!! :)

DIY Cold Air Intake for 7th Gen Petrol

For what it's worth, the chances of you taking on water through a filter down there from driving through puddles, or down a motorway in the pouring rain are slim to none. You would have to actually submerge the entire filter by crossing a river to get water sucked up into your intake to cause...

How large is the fuel tank on a Honda Accord estate ?

Not something you want to find out by running out in a diesel.

Motor won't go over 3000rpm, VTEC broken?

No disrespect/offence taken. I am new here but 15 years of messing around with CRXs backs up my post. :) Including having had a lucky escape with experiencing low oil preventing vtec without throwing a CEL, and without killing my engine. However, my experience is with the CRX and B series...

Motor won't go over 3000rpm, VTEC broken?

Low oil WON'T trigger your CEL! Low oil WILL stop vtec from engaging as it needs a certain oil PRESSURE to activate, but that won't give you a CEL either. Nor will it put you in 3000rpm limit limp mode. Loss of vtec is perhaps the first warning that you are low on oil. However you will still...

    Drive shafts for the 2.4

Chaps, sorry for the simple question, I've read various answers on the subject in the past, but right now can't find clarification of this one point.... driveshafts for the 2.4 Type S... are they unique to the 2.4 TypeS, or just to the 2.4 in general? ie are the 2.4 exec's shafts the same as...

    2003 type-s 300miles on tankfull ? is this normal ? :D

As above, mix of short journeys to work and round and about, and maybe 100 or so motorway miles a week has seen me average around 360 between ~50litre refills.. ~33mpg A full tank of motorway driving just saw me get 410 before the light came on and 52 litres to fill it back up.. ~36mpg...

    Penta alloy

You could try and find somewhere that can straighten it instead of finding another. Google for alloy wheel repairs.

    Car Pulling - gahhhh...

Mine does similar even after multiple wheel balancing, changing a tyre to make sure they are all the exactly the same and the correct load rating and a full alignment on a Hunter (or whatever the one everyone recommends), and I'm sure I've read on here about a torque sensor in the electronic...

    Car damage fire !

Fair enough, my comment definitely stands with regard to damage caused to your car by someone else hitting it though. I would still pursue his insurer as hard as possible.

    Car damage fire !

If you know who the VW belongs to and can get their insurance details then you absolutely do not need to involve your insurance company at all. The insurer of the VW is obliged to pay for the cost of returning your car to the condition it was in before the fire. Deal directly with the insurance...

    Poor MPG

I'd check your maths before worrying about the car too much. 53 litres is 11.66gallons, (4.545l/gallon) which for 360 miles gives you just under 31mpg. Still not great for your diesel, but not as bad as you thought.
