Think you will find that the turbo's are actually pretty bomb proof comparing them to a lot of other makes, the occasional one will go pop but bad servicing and driving will be mostly responsible for this. The clutch and VSA is the weak link with dervs .

Yep, clean or replace caliper, or flexi hose inner damaged ( quite common ) one of these two 99% of time :(

Both batteries going flat over the same period of time has to be a drain problem of sorts, simple as.

When I had my clutch done at CG motorsport I asked about running the clutch in ! The owner of the place said as I had had the full clutch fitted ( paddle with dmf ) I had no need to bother and could drive it as hard as i liked ! this I did and sure enough there was no slippage and I did try on...

H1 are the ones, both dipped and main beam. 8,000 are used by a lot of folk but if you want better light 4,000 are the ones, not as bling ( blue ) as the 8,000 but deffo better to see with.

Yep my Audi 100 did it as well as a few Ive owned but cannot remember which, has to be something to do with the master cylinder .

I think one of the main reasons we get gummed up or rusty pistons is due to water contamination in the fluid, this is a very good reason to change the fluid every couple of years or so. Have messed about with brakes for a long time and when you clean a caliper out and all you get is rusty gunk...

I found my best friend when changing bulbs in our cars is a little round mirror ( telescopic I think is best ). You can get these extremely handy things from most motor factors. They make a fiddly job a little easier :)

Hi Chris, would not personally do away with dual mass as it is there to protect your transmission, your choice though. You say you have a mechanic handy who you obviously trust, have you thought of ordering the parts from CG and getting him to fit it! just a thought mate. :D
