P2004 - IMRC Intake Manifold Runner Control problems

Anyone got the link to the facelift part on lings? I might order the filter at the weekend, try this and see what happens. If its no better, then I will probably just order the unit itself! Carl: mine is also a facelift, now done 64K but had done 56k when I got it and it has had the issue all...

Right then, Just a quick update (Waj you maybe able to ***ist more than some) I drove my car to work this morning and it didnt seem to jerk, apart from once but not as harsh. Did you experience any jerking Waj when you disconnected the wire? I had the trouble that mine does seem a bit...

P2004 - IMRC Intake Manifold Runner Control problems

Well I disconnected the plug earlier as you have to remove the plastic engine cover I couldnt do it at work, so did it when I got home. Well I thought it was jerking at first but not sure now. Will leave it disconnected for the run to work tomorrow and see how it is. If its OK it seems like I...

P2004 - IMRC Intake Manifold Runner Control problems

Alright clever cloggs.... :) The only reason I said is because when the MAF was disconnected it didnt show symptoms! so it may not show them when any other device is disconnected as it will prob go into a safe mode when the MIL light is on. I might just give it a go anyway but before ordering...

P2004 - IMRC Intake Manifold Runner Control problems

Following on from the interesting posts above I have a little dilema. (CJ you maybe the man to advise, but anyone feel free) I am having my car plugged in at the HH meet to see if it shows up any faults. Now obviously if I disconnect this part it will throw up a fault code straight away, which...

    Timing Belt change

£20... not for my dodgy imported Prelude. Honda spanked me for £89 :( But for the Accord I would just get one as you said Faddy

    Timing Belt change

True Fahad, thats why I did mine anyway, but Honda did say it wasnt worth it. I have always done it since my brother had his VW Golf Cambelt done then 2 months later the waterpump failed. VW though did say it should be changed but on his but the so called VW specialist garage didnt change it. In...

    Timing Belt change

I did the Water pump on mine as well Fahad, but apparently the dealer said it wouldnt need doing. Might be different on the 2.0 accord though. As Fahad says, if your not confident dont do it yourself as if you get it wrong it could cause catastropic damage to the Valves and Engine!

    Timing Belt change

Hi Mick, I dont have a 6th Gen, but I did it myself on my 2.2 Prelude, a bit fussy and you have to ensure on the Preludes that a new pre-tensioner is installed (not sure if its the same on Accord 2.0), it took me about 4 hours and was a bit of a pain without a ramp. As for your local dealer, I...

    Spare / Replacement Key

It looks like I need to register the code of the fob though! I only have one :( I have called around 5-6 auto locksmiths in the last couple of days and they are all giving me the same story. Fobs off ebay cant be reprogrammed. Need to know what your current fob is or Honda key number, most...

What sort of mpg do you all get on your diesels?

I cant get much more than about 41mpg no matter how I drive it, long short journey etc and this is all calculated not on the OBC ;) Plus I have the 6th gear

    EGR Valve maybe?

Mine has a very similar fault and at less than 60,000 miles when I bought it with FHSH I would find it pretty dissapointing if an injector was failing at this low mileage. Waj I know what the guy means though cause on my car, both my dad and I who have stripped down many a petrol car an...

    Spare / Replacement Key

Right then, hit a bit of a brick wall. Spoke to two auto locksmiths about them reprograming a key (second hand from ebay) and they both said we cant do that but can get you a new one (for £170) so I might as well get a new one at that price. Has anyone had a key that didnt come with their car...
