perhapse your car has been missfueld at some point in its life? high preasure fuel pump failing?..............thats worst case senario but could be a number of things, has your engine light come on since the fuel filter change?. it is possible the filter is not fitted correctly.

a good honda dealer that. its simple to do so long as its just the central locking that needs coding. just a series of turning the ignition on and off while pressing the lock button on the fob.

intermittant vac leak in the imrc frquency solenoid valve. the manufacturing process was changed to rectify the problem, as it is intermitant the fault may clear and not return for some time. replacing the valve should cure the fault.

if the keys still start the car i would suggest changing the batteries as a start. you may find the central locking needs re-coding which is simple enough to do and does not require a hds. let us know how you get on after changing the batteries.

is your accord a 99 - 2000 reg?.........there may not yet be anything on this site about this particular problem as its still faily new. there was a recall on the ignition switches for quite a few honda vehicles including the accord of this age. ime doubtfull you would get it under warranty now...
