No not familiar with brake wear indication in that regard but the noise does lessen during tight cornering and the guy I bought the car from said this was the rear bearing but I will have it checked tomorrow in any case as I do want to get this fixed as otherwise except for the drivers mirror...

Thanks buddy it starts whirring at about ten mph then it gets louder with use seems to lessen when brakes are applied don't think it does it in reverse but not sure I will check I will get the other checks done tomorrow then report back as to the results . Regards Gary
