The discs clean up after a run theres no unusual marks. Its going back into the garage tomorrow because its got worse. Its now escalated to a big 'clink' for every rotation when braking at slow speeds.

I celebrated too soon, about 3 days later the grinding sound is back and now its worse than it was, clicking and clunking sometimes too.

SOLVED.Just dirty brakes. Strip down, clean and rebuild has got rid of most of the noise which has left me quite surprised. Ive had stones and grit in the brakes before but that made a massive constant noise without applying the brakes. Anyway pads disc and caliper all ok, a relief considering...

So tried introducing the handbrake at very low speed to see if it would replicate the noise but nothing. Scraping only happens with footbrake.

Got a particular scraping noise from nearside rear when braking at low speeds. Not the squeal you ***ociate with a old disc indicator but still quite noisy. Caliper and pad both new in April. Was wondering if they just need a clean but thought I ask if anyone had experienced anything similar...

Been watching these on ebay with interest, especially as they claim to be 2018 maps, but was nervous of pulling the trigger. Does it scan and read ok?

If you imagine the wheel dead in front of you with the caliper at 3 o clock the movement of the pad is up and down, theres no movement towards/ further from you. I ***ume theres meant to be some retaining clip thats meant to stop this?

Had a detailed look tonight after a long journey and everything was warmed up. Its a loose brake pad. What causes this?

My rear anti roll bar bushes/ possibly links are getting replaced next week. Theyre noisey over bumps, but could a worn bush cause a knock everytime the wheel rotates and stop when the brake was applied?

Just as an update to this all connections on the amp seemed secure. Annoying as I broke a clip on the centre console to get it! I couldnt see anything that would connect the position of the gear lever with an audio related cable. I did notice a black wire that was open ended that wasnt attached...
