    Outside Temperature

Wow! two fixes in one night. Thanks to Linas just adjusted the outside temp gauge. It was replaced in September but obviously wasn't calibrated.

    electric recliner not working ladz?...help....

Just want to say a big thank you gizz. Fixed recliner as per your instruction. Had the car at the garage the weekend before last and was told the motor was knackered and needed replacing. Now if only my water leak was as easy to fix.

    Water in rear pass. footwell

Good to hear that you got sorted although that was a hefty bill to have to fork out especially at this time of the year. Do you know any more specifics as to where exactly the leak was? Would love to get my leak sorted as there is now a damp smell in the car.

    Water in rear pass. footwell

Sorry to hear you're having the same problem as myself. It is incredible how much water can get in. After a heavy shower the water seems to just rise from nowhere. The carpet around the water is dry and there are no signs of water marks anywhere. I did have a go at removing a piece of trim. I...

    Water in rear pass. footwell

Thanks for the reply. I'll have a go at removing some of the trim tomorrow. Hopefully I won't break too many clips. I'm a bit reluctant to remove the carpet but if it's the only way to get to the bottom of this so be it.

    Water in rear pass. footwell

Unfortunately this problem is persisting. My wife had the car for the weekend and when she came back there was a swimming pool in the back of the car. There is also water in the front pass. footwell but this could have poured in from the back under braking. I had thought the water was coming...

    Water in rear pass. footwell

Thanks for the prompt replies. I just tested the sunroof as suggested. Car on a slope, sunroof open and sure enough I could see water coming in through the rear pillar at the point of the airbag tab. So it's obviously snaking it's way to the footwell. Water also came out of the rear passenger...

    Water in rear pass. footwell

After a heavy shower Monday night went out to the car in the morning to find rear passenger footwell with a good inch of water in it. No other area in the car is wet. My son had said to me over a week ago that he noticed it being very wet but I just ***umed it was wet feet from the kids. I...

    Auto Wipers - Work occasionaly

Just a quick update. While driving yesterday in the rain (as usual) I tugged on the wiper sensor and the auto wipers began to work again. Oddly I didn't feel any movement in the sensor and it feels very secure. They are still working today so fingers crossed. Thanks to all for your help.

    Auto Wipers - Work occasionaly

Thanks Dan but I'd already read that post which wasn't conclusive, I thought there was another post regarding how to clean the sensor.

    Auto Wipers - Work occasionaly

Dan, the blades are brand new (bosch) but there is a score mark on the windscreen from previous owner. I'd appreciate it if you could find the old post.

    Auto Wipers - Work occasionaly

Yeah, I'd say it's knackered. Looks like I'll have to go to all that effort of flicking a switch.

    Auto Wipers - Work occasionaly

Fahad, I left the wipers on for 5 minutes yesterday, on auto, in the dry and they never turned off (will probably need new wipers now!). Must be a broken sensor, I think I'll give up on them. Thanks for your replies.

    Auto Wipers - Work occasionaly

Thanks for your reply John. When I put the wipers on auto they operate immediately regardless of whether it's raining or not. I understand that when on auto the dial just changes the sensitivity of the sensor. Brett and Dan if you could locate the older post where this was discussed I would...

I have cleaned the sensor and re-attached it securely to the windscreen but still no joy.

    Auto Wipers - Work occasionaly

Had to select my topic ***le carefully!! My understanding of the auto wipers is that you set the stalk to 'auto' and then change the sensitivity with the dial. Yet my wipers when set to auto just work as standard intermittent wipers and the dial changes the frequency of the wipe. The settings...
