    Is the Type-S worth it?

The Type S also has a larger inter-cooler in the front grill to support that turbo. Either way get a re-map as the heavy accord feels very slow without it (148hp version).

Wanna sell you car? (must be Accord EX/EX GT, diesel 2.2L, Auto...)

Indeed a great offer, 4% interest over 3 years based on 20,000 miles and it worked out £70.00 less per month than a New Accord or CRV and the spec is very good too!

Wanna sell you car? (must be Accord EX/EX GT, diesel 2.2L, Auto...)

Rich, Most will hate me for this but Ive purchased a New Mercedes C220 Estate in AMG Sport Plus trim with the 7G auto box. It will be here next Thursday but below is one I test drove, ive ordered exactly the same.

Wanna sell you car? (must be Accord EX/EX GT, diesel 2.2L, Auto...)

Well, where to start...... 1. The re-map was done by Celtic tuning, a very reputable tuning company and one of the good ones out there. The car has been faultless since upgrade and has not been thrashed about I can ***ure you on that one. Whilst yes there has been moments where a quick heavy...

Wanna sell you car? (must be Accord EX/EX GT, diesel 2.2L, Auto...)

My 2009 EX Auto Saloon will be returned to the finance company in 2 weeks time, open to offers rather than send it back to the fat cats!! Pictures can be found on my profile, however I can put more on. The car is clean throughout and has a full main dealer service history bang on every 12,500...

How much more diesel does an automatic gearbox use vs. a manual ... on motorway driving?

If I was you - Steer clear of the Honda Auto Box. Ive had mine over 2 years, its only ever managed 41-43 mpg on motorway and in down 30-33. When cold its like a cement mixer and has a terrible gear shift. IMO this gearbox is like retro technology - its clunky, slow and swallows up all that...

Swap 2.2 EX Auto Saloon for 2.2 Type-S Estate

Well still looking for a new car and cant get hold of a Type S or EX now in a tourer that has the large discount. But on the upside I have demo tested a 2012 CRV (out going model) in EX 2.2 manual and must admit very very nice indeed. I clocked up 25 miles of town driving and still averaged...

    At Celtic tuning

Brett is right here, Mine should be around the 221 bhp mark but with the lumpy auto box its never transmitting that on the tarmac! I would estimate around 180 bhp tops 190 as I can just about keep up with the father in laws new 200 bhp Mondeo. As for the clutch slip, not the first ive heard of...

Swap 2.2 EX Auto Saloon for 2.2 Type-S Estate

Interesting read! I wouldn't mind staying with Honda but they don't have any Type S tourers pre built and all the Ex stock cars within Honda UK are all auto's........... I think I may end up going back to VW. Just gotta wait and see who has the biggest discounts. For others out there Honda are...

Swap 2.2 EX Auto Saloon for 2.2 Type-S Estate

Thanks Jace. Been out an tested a couple of cars today except the Accord Tourer and the best so far was the VW Passat 177 very punchy and well trimmed in sport spec. I forgot how hard it is to decide on buying a car!

Swap 2.2 EX Auto Saloon for 2.2 Type-S Estate

Cheer Maxis Still higher than expected. The wife's little 2.0 Tdci focus is running 2000 rpm at 80mph. Wonder if this is why the accords are not as fuel efficient as the German counterparts.

Swap 2.2 EX Auto Saloon for 2.2 Type-S Estate

Cheers Maxis. I would hope the rpm is lower than 3000? The auto returns 2500 rpm at 75ish which s prob the reason for poor fuel consumption.

Swap 2.2 EX Auto Saloon for 2.2 Type-S Estate

Cheers Jace! I wish my auto would do 40+ but no chance. And with the cold weather coming in again the engine sounds like a cement mixer!

Its a good deal Brett! Just trying to find one in the right colour. I found out that the boot is electric as per the EX but still not sure on the RPM. I'm going to have to test drive one but I know as soon as I do that I will be sold!!
