The repaired unit was returned today (Friday) with no explanation of what the fault was. After installation all warning lights are out and the error codes have been cleared.

Update The auto electrician has confirmed that there's an electrical fault in the ABS/VSA unit and BBA Reman (via UPS) are collecting it on Monday for (another) repair under warranty. I'll post again when/if it's resolved.

Thanks for this info. I raised the yaw rate sensor problem in Jan on another topic but as the weather got warmer, the VSA light stopped coming on. It definitely seemed to be temperature dependent as on cold mornings (6.30 am) it would come on and remain on until the outside temperature warmed...

Update The ABS light cleared itself as soon as I started driving the car. Also I have posted a link to the list of DTC codes on the General Chat forum My fault (code 25) is the Yaw Rate Sensor which is a unit behind the console underneath the satnav. Looks like being expensive.

Update The ABS sensor is around 800 ohm (not 15k) and the yellow plug & socket are ok - I connected the pins and socket holes with wire and checked the connection. I have also switched the ignition on and off 20 times to see if this would clear the ABS warning but no joy.
