Well, its half the usual price and you need it done to keep the car on the road regards next MOT. You also have winter coming up and I find VSA very handy in ice/snow. sending it away is a gamble I took, and lost - you're looking at time off the road, costs of removing and replacing unit etc...

I find the trip computer accurate to within 2mpg when I tested it years ago. I get over 600 to a tank on my diesel, bog standard spec. Around town in summer I get 45, dips by about 5 mpg in winter. Had the car for over 5 years and am paranoid about fuel economy so I know it's usage inside out.

It sounds to be that the new tyres are producing more grip therefore cause the vsa to kick in. Usually if a sensor is away it will be present for longer periods. If it flickers on and off in a situation like that, it usually just means it's doing its job.

Just read your guide Steve. I'm convinced mine is the sensor, as the diagnostic speed near side sensor as being too blame. I also have both vsa and abs lights on. I've noticed that euro car parts sell one for 140.

Does it sound like rubbing or scraping? One thing I've noted was the brake dust guards are known to corrode and warp, leading to them rubbing on the disc.

I tried that as well, unfortunately mine couldn't be repaired so I lost quite a bit of money and was back at square one. I ended up keeping the pressure on Honda and got mine done for labour cost only - was a learning curve for sure.

I know it seems implausable, but I can't figure out any other way the tyre being a 2005 dated on the wall, would be on my car. I've owned it since it was 2 years old. I used to have a Megane (sorry) that did over 35k on a front set of Michelins which I thought was excellent.

Yeah. This one was dated 2005 - the car is an 06 plate - so it ties in.

I know, highly unlikely, but I just changed a Michelin Primacy that I was told had likely been on the car from when it was built. The car has now done 70k miles - tyre still had 0.5mm of legal tread on it, but looked rather old/cracked etc. What's the maximum anyone else has seen on a tyre?

Glad you got it sorted Jerry. You should have sent the faulty one back to the ebay seller - my guy refunded mine as it too was faulty.
