wiper speed

Hi,I've been following this thread on the Aux belt and I'm wondering if the fact that my wipers slow down under load on flat or uphill slow down because of the problems caused by the long Aux belt? I have done a bit of a search but couldn't find anything related to it. Or is it a dopey question...
