Hi, I have a problem starting the engine and would be grateful for any help.
It all started with the ABS warning light showing on the dash, I read on the web fault codes could be obtained by shorting the data port. I followed the procedure but no codes came up, so foolishly thought I had shorted the wrong connections and shorted out the ones on other side of data port. On removing the data port and examining it I could see no wiring going into the points that I first shorted, so that explained why no error codes flashed. Unfortunately the ones I shorted on second attempt have caused an engine start problem, they are coloured green/white and purple/white. The engine cranks but won't fire.

I have checked fuses in the 3 fuse boxes but cannot see any blown, and attached an obdii reader but it doesn't receive power.

Any suggections?
