I may have a quick fix for the ABS sensor problem that afflicts our cars.
Some weeks ago the ABS warning light came on in my car, I got the fault code 13 for the front left sensor.
I checked and cleaned the wiring from sensor to modulator, it was OK. I then got my aerosol of electricians solvent and sprayed the gap between sensor and hub, you need the capilliary tube to properly direct the spray(brake cleaner would probably do the same job).
After driving the car 20 miles or so I thought the problem was fixed, however the warning light came back on again...but this time it was intermittent.
Next time I had some spare time I repeated the procedure with lots more solvent, this time I did all 4 sensors and connections including the modulator.
I can report success so far, and may include this procedure in my service schedule.
