I have the vsa light on the dash and codes 66-1 84-1. I've a second hand pump to put in.

Will all four brakes need bleeding after changing the pump? And is there some sort of reset for the vsa? I have access to the hds can it be done through this?

Look back to one of my early threads (2016/7), I was able to reset using a shorting pin on the OBD2 port.

Once I had replaced the pump, I was able to bleed the system by slightly undoing each of the unions on the top. There was no need to go all the way to the brakes, though if you have the Tourer it may be worth doing on the rear hubs to flush out any contamination in the lines.

I've seen that method to reset it, probably will do it that way. I have the hds and cable but only used it once and that was to read the codes, haven't a clue how to use the rest of it.

For the bleeding I take it it's still a 2 person job, one pumping 1 undoing/tightening the nuts?

Codes are on the dashboard lights , no need for HDS.

Do you have a tourer ?
