Accord 2006 Diesel radiator fan running when cold

Hi everyone,
New member question.
Just brought the car from a mate and I've noticed that if I turn the ignition to position 2, both fans are spinning even when the engine is cold (first thing in the morning)
No engine warning light and no stored fault codes.
Fans go off when ignition off so I'm thinking it's not a relay stuck. I've also swopped the 2 green relays around in the fuse box in the engine compartment. Still same problem.
Any advise appreciated.

A faulty thermostat connector (or the thermostat itself) is most likely, otherwise check the fusebox for damp or a stray bit of wire near the spades.
