Hello everyone,

I need some help on an issue i have with my accord 06 thats already covered 130,000 miles and never had a clutch change. A Month ago i encountered my clutch issue which would sometimes stick down to the floor but not all the time. Only whenever i am stationary and in first gear (I would just continue pushing it down with my foot in order for it to come back up again and then change gear when this happens).

A week later the clutch started making rattling noises and vibration noises every time i pressed down on the clutch to change gears. So i presumed this may be an issue with the Dual Mass Flywheel. This happened for another 2 weeks.

Nowadays it no longer happens and it all seems fine No rattling noises, Vibrations etc.

Is it possible for the problem just to go away like that? Or will it still completely just fail further down the line?

Should i just wait to see what happens before getting a new DMF or is it best to just to get the parts replaced?

Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Kin

This came up before, if I recall. And yes, it went away, but my memory is failing me ... something to do with a self-adjusting mechanism or similar..

I have similar problem sometimes. When on traffic lights with clutch pressed for bit longer it sometimes stay in the floor but just like 1-2sec. After it just pop up. Also i have problem with little vibrations when depressing. I have new clutch and DMF so i think that maybe one of cylinders is faulty.. it is not happening really often and not making any worse so im not rushing with it

Hi

Thanks for both your replies, which are helpful.

The car now is vibrating when the clutch is depressed and stationary. The noise will come and go. Should i leave it as it is or just get it replaced?

As you mentioned you had a new clutch and DMF but there are still vibrations...
