Hi all,

Just had car inspected regarding air con not working, it seems to be the switch has stopped working as everything else which was tested (compressor/relay) works!

I've been trying to locate where to purchase the switch from, i've read on here that people have called Honda and bought the switch for £54, however, i called honda and they are quoting me £170+.

Could you kindly point me in the direction of purchasing the switch please.

Cheers
Serg

hmmm a bit dubious about the knowledge of whoever "inspected" it, because the system on the Accord diesel uses a 3-terminal pressure sensor.

maybe use google, ebay, etc using the Honda part number which you can get from this link --> http://www.lingshondaparts.com/cars/oem-car-parts-diagrams.html
Phew. That's pretty much what I put in my reply to Serge's PM! I should have referred him to the Aircon guru...

what do you make of that part on ebay?? same switch??

is the pressure switch located directlty behind the number player inside the bumper?

Hi Brian, thanks for the link to the diagrams.

I've located the sensor, just wanted to double check whether its No.3 in the diagram

this thread is a long read but loads of info and pics of the pressure sensor in the Accord diesel --> http://typeaccord.co.uk/forum/topic/10382-diagnosing-aircon-problems/

btw never try to undo aircon piping unless you're 100% sure there is no gas left (which there usually is)
Well, the garage i just took it too did refill the gas but then told me they removed all the gas afterwards, sounding a bit dogy to me, dont think i'll go back there. Just cant find any trustworthy garages anymore.

Hi all,
Apologies for resurrecting an old thread. I need to replace the 3 pin pressure switch (I have followed the aircon diagnostics thread posted elsewhere on TA to come to this conclusion) but can only source a Honda OEM unit for £142 via Heritage Honda in Gloucester. The Denso version (circa £50) appears to be out of stock everywhere. Anyone know of a company selling these or another decent after-market replacement that Google isn't finding?
Thanks in advance
Robin
