Hi all
Can I replace standard interior and extrior parts direct for those off an accord type r on my W reg accord. I've got a few broken bits that need changing.
parts I'm looking at seats, lights, dash, etc.... I know the chassis engine etc will not
Many thanks

Mark im not 100% but you can change most things for ATR but wait to see what the ATR boys say.

Hi and welcome.

I think that the seats on the type-r have different rails so you would need the complete setup with the rails included. The back seats, I am not sure about as I think they differ between hatchback and saloon. Headlights are same shape but the type-r are HID so not sure about wiring, also to be legal they need to be self leveling and have headlight washers installed. With regards to the dash, there is little or no difference between the two models except for the clocks (if thats what you meant?).

Hope this helps.

The lights have a sensor near the rear off side wheel, an ecu in the dash near the steering wheel and the lights themselves have motors to adjust them. I would imagine it will be a nightmare of a task to change that lot over with the washers and everything else.

The front seats are bucket seats, so as mentioned, the rails may well be different.

Also the back seats don't go down (all part of the stiffened chassis i believe), so bear that in mind if you are thinking of changing them, it can be a bit of a pain in the **** at times.

The seats (both front and rear) don't fit. The ATR is a differnent set up inside. The rear as has been mentioned will not go in, and the rails at the front are differnet.

The lights have already been mentioned. The dash between the two are the same, but the ATR has white dials and that fake plastic carbon fibre inlay stiff.

On the plus side, the door cards do go straight on though.

The speedo cluster will fit straight in and the carbon/f trims will go straight in. The exhaust system downpipe back will go on with a bracket welded for the n/s back box. Shocks will also fit.

Hope this helps

In all honesty though bud i'd save your cash up to buy an atr if thats the root your trying to go down. Its much more cost effectiv. There are some minters going for around the 3kmark. Paul smith who has just joined this forum has his for sale and its gotta be about the best around and thats for under 4k
