Auto Wiper?

My auto wiper seems not working like it should be? I put on int and wiper still going even no rain or water on the windscreen?

Have you tried adjusting the sensitivity of the auto wiping with the rotating bezel on the stalk? If not this, could be a fault with the sensor on the windscreen that sits by the rear view mirror.

If you put the wipers on intermittently they will work intermittently.

If you put the wipers on AUTO they will sense when it's raining and work accordingly. Then rotate the collar to adjust the interval of the wipers.

I don't see auto? Does every model comes with it? Mine 2.4 type s and I can see the sensor behind the rear view mirror. Ta

You sure the sensor is there and not just the same oversized housing for the mirror?

Yeah the sensor is there and I see the wire going in to the as well. Looks similar to my mate's focus.

On your wiper stalk do you have the following options on it MIST, OFF, AUTO, LO, HI?

No, there's no auto. Mist, int, lo, hi I think.

Then you ain't got auto bud - and that sensor is just there to enrage you...

As with many things - cheaper to supply and fit but disable, than it is to have separate production runs for such minor modifications. Happens in my industry as well.

^^ yeh i agree with cj.. especially the prefacelift typeS.....sounds to me like an onboard camera or maybe a parking sensor?
