hi all, after my recent purchase of monks tourer, and understanding that andy's upgraded all speakers concerned bar the sub, i now need to upgrade the sub in the boot! any ideas? i believe thats its an 8" so question is anyone done an upgrade, any wiring issues as tends to be the case with the feeble wiring in hondas! any magnet depth issues etc? cheers in advance for the info. as a footnote i need it to look o.e as possible. ta al :)

congrats on the purchase of Andys tourer.
I think your best bet is to remove the sub and see what space you have to play with.
but im sure a hearse owner will be allong shortly to ***ist ;)

HI, i have a pre facelift tourer and would like to replace the sub also. So far all i can help is to say the one in my car was made by pioneer model no TS08534ZH running at 2 ohms. I did contact Pioneer asking about a replacement and they said.
"Regretfully, as the sub is an OEM factory fitted unit I do not have any
specific information on that unit to determine whits its power
requirements, connection etc are. This unit would have been manufactured
to Honda's specification and they would generally hold the information
about it.
So none the wiser there then! I was unsure if it was a "freeair" type as it's not really sealed, not many company's make an 8inch freeair but pioneer do funny enough but it runs 4ohm. Been busy lately so i've not got any further than that as yet sorry. If you get anywhere could you let me know.

Im sure running a Pioneer TS-SW841D 8 would cause no issues :)
but these are all 2 ohms ;)
Rockford Fosgate P2D2-8
10CVT82 Kicker
KICKER COMP VR

obviously the rockford fosgate would be the sub of choice for me as their kit rocks.
