Seemingly, the bluetooth module has died on my cdti tourer. Maybe when I was mig welding? Anyway it was working normally before, so, is it worth buying second hand?
The part numbers on the used ones all seen to have the letters TLO in the middle whereas mine is SEA, I take it they are not interchangeable ?
Sorry for the seemingly basic questions but I am just learning on Hondas after many years on Audi. Have just helped my mate put a clutch and flywheel in mine, WOW! I think I'll go back to Audi!!!

The Bluetooth module on the 7th gen accords were always a known issue.

The FPGA chip in these tend to unsolder itself over the years as they run pretty warm when in use and being near the vents it doesn't help in the winter either.
Over time the ball grid balls within the FPGA become brittle and the Bluetooth module fails to connect and causes parasitic battery drain issues aswell.
There are millions of threads about it over the years, and one article where you could actually put the PCB in your oven to reflow the components.
Cant seem to find article though.

Honda never superseded the unit and therefore there isn't a know fix or updated unit I am afraid.
The Bluetooth unit was manufactured by Johnson Controls. You can get them repaired by a specialist company "bba rehman" but the cost is just not worth it as our cars are pretty old now.

If your interested. Listing is for the CRV but I acquired with them back in 2014 and they were able to repair the Accord one - the costs were horrendous though (i recall around £400 quid at the time).

The standard bluetooth system in our Accords are so dated and clunky to use anyways
Your better off installing a parrot system or similar.
I fitted a parrot CK3000 unit back in 2014 - works really well. Discrete too and still working 100% to this day.

The ictdi Accords are brilliant cars and very reliable, especially now they getting on abit now.
Sorry to hear that you had to replace your clutch. Must have been a tough job as I hear the front lower sub frame has to be removed
I am on 230k and still running the original clutch and dmf flywheel - its an expensive job and will pretty much write off the car if I do it hence why I haven't done it - haha
Still runs and drives great though. I just cant push it hard otherwise it will slip.

Thanks for the reply, interesting reading.
Yes, the clutch dmf is a monster job and the car is on 215k but running so well therefore I considered the cost of parts(£407) and a couple of hundred quid for my mate well worth the outlay. I will probably take your advice about the parrot though, many thanks, Rod.
