Accord SE Executive
My SE Exec has the Bose stereo fitted and it keeps switching station (from planet rock to touch ****** radio!) . When it switches over without input from me there is a little "st" symbol that flashes in the top left corner of the display.
Can someone please tell me how to stop this before I have to rip out the entire stereo system? I've had a look through the manual and I can't see anything relating to it.

Not sure, but is it the equivalent of TA / TP whereby it loses signal strength and hunts for the next available signal? Normally you can turn this off. The fact you're seeing ST flash (meaning Stereo rather than mono) would suggest signal loss.

I've tried messing with the TA button but it makes no difference, this is properly doin my head in.

It's TF you're looking for

Still cant find it. I HATE touch fm.....it sucks!

Probably the AF function, searches for an Alternative Frequency when signal is too low.

But how can I turn thy function off, I have checked my user manual and I can see no reference to it. If I can't turn it off I'm going to have to replace the whole system.

Normally AF is doubled up with the TA button. i.e first press turns on TA, 2nd press turns on TA with AF, 3rd turns off them both or something like that.

For those of you unfamiliar with the 6th gen, here is the head unit (at least in my facelift model with CD player):

That's the one, ill give it a go. Cheers

Its still the same, if you press the TA button it turns on the TA & AF, press it again and it supposedly turns them off...however mine keeps switching radio station no matter what i do with that ****** button.

it states in handbook that the flashing st means the signal is too weak. Try to find another tuning for planet rock that works better, and stays in range.

SORTED!
Press and hold the power button, a new menu will appear, use the 1,2,3 buttons to cycle through it. I turned off AF (I think) and BOOM no more annoying auto channel hopping.

Excellent. I'll give that a go later and see how it copes with a change in frequency. Cheers.

glad to see another planet rock listener on here...

they play so much decent music... only problem is they make me to and buy albums! latest CD's to hit my 7th gen are from 'five finger death punch' totally awsome band :D

Love FFDP! But saying that I'm massively into thunder, Metallica, killswitch, unearth etc etc. planet rock after taking over from kerrang radio is the only choice!

I can make you whine by saying I have seen metallica twice ;-), oh also slayer, pantera, rob zombie, napalm death...and many more :D

Done the Metallica, guns n roses, thunder, white snake, def leppard, tool, etc etc etc its all about the live rock!
