Yesterday I bypassed the idle air ***ist valve that helps heat up the cat during cold starts but since then the exhaust smells more of petrol than it used to which is expected but is it in any way harmful to the engine or the oil getting contaminated etc, I wanted to bypass it as the driving experience until it's fully warmed up was awful and annoying but I don't want to harm the engine by doing it, I don't care what happens to the catalytic converter it's just the engine I'm worried about. Thanks and sorry if I'm being soft I love my car .
