Do I have high voltage discharge tubes? Can I replace them if so?

Hi.

Reading the manual says 'some types' have the above bulbs.I have both headlight low beam bulbs not working on a 56 plate diesel facelift. It says that high voltage can remain in the circuit with lights off and keys out, so dont change them. It obviously recommends taking it to a dealer. Anybody know what cars this refers to? Anyone changed them? It lookes a pig of a job with the bulb right in the corner tucked behind the battery leads.
Cheers.

The manual is refering to HID lamps (high-intensity discharge), or xenon lamps.
The usual lamps are safe to replace.

Agree with Nuno there just normal halogen unless you have after market HID already fitted.
