Hey there, so recently I tried to replace my courtesy light in my passenger and driver door with some aftermarket lights. Using metal pliers ( a bad choice ) I plugged in the connector for the passenger side and it worked fine. I then moved onto the driver's side and plugged that in. But this time the light went on for a second and then went off completely. So I realised I messed up. I checked the voltage of the connector and it's reading 0V, then I checked all the fuses in the cabin and under the hood and I believe they were all fine. after that, I realised that my car kept on locking itself with the door open ( 30s auto lock ) and sure enough on my dash it showed my door as being closed when it's actually open, the overhead light also won't turn on with the door open. Read around and apparently, some people have been saying that the multiplex control unit is fried ( no idea what this unit is ). any help would be appreciated :)
