Hi all, again :p

I really want to ditch my original grille and swap it out for the euro-r styled one. For the love of all things sane, how can these things be so expensive? I was looking at this, which appears to be the full shebang for changing the bonnet plate etc...

http://www.heeltoeauto.com/heeltoe-combo-deal-04-05-acura-tsx-jdm-conversion-kit-grille-hood-trim-radiator-plate-emblem-kit.html

But does or does that not seem like a somewhat redonculous price for such a "trivial" mod? Am I missing something? No imitation grilles like that to be found anywhere? All the other mesh grilles I've looked at seem to be set really far back under the bonnet and that isn't particularly the look I want to achieve. Anyway, just thought I'd throw that out there and see if anyone can offer a bit of advice

Cheers

I don't know, im lost in a sea of grilles. Its the particular style Im after anyway - whatever it is. Aint the JDM jobbies a bit different? I know that in order to de-chrome the mouth of the car I'll need the colour coded plates that are with that kit.

Edit: Just looked on lings at the type-s grille. What, if any, is the difference between the grille in my post above and the type-s? Other than the type-s one bein cheaper

Thanks guys

looks just like a sports grill to that you get on all the sport accords

get the sports one bud, these euro r ones are well uber expensive(prob cos they of a genuine euro-r ,i dont know)but you can get the chrome trim painted to the colour of the bonnet.

Good catch man, thanks a lot - I've emailed the seller and hopefully he'll get back in touch soon. Will update when I find out..... asked about the wheels too, but just realised they aint the pentas. Just saw the colour and five spokes, hmmph. Oh well.

Many thanks

Sold unfortunately but will be on the lookout for more accords breaking.

The sport grille and the Euro R grille the same??

The Euro R grille is that kind of honeycomb shape, I thought the sport grille had a more rectangular pattern?

Could be wrong though....

These things are expensive, one on the bay, bit pricey but it includes the euro R grille badge which sell for about £30.....

Cheers Mike, yeah I saw that one but at that price - second hand no less - they can keep it! For that kind of money I could probably do a short course in plastic welding and make my own grille :p

Company over here sells Mugen grilles for 95euro, although at that price I question the authenticity!!

Have a look....... probably reps but they look decent My link

Cheers all for the replies

Another question...

What lies under the chrome bonnet trim? I've seen a few accords that dont have this trim at all, is that a bodyshop job with filler and respray?
