What's new

Highest Mileage

2006 Accord Saloon ictdi.

Just touched over 165k
-Original clutch and DMF
-Original Turbo
-Original Exhaust system

Doing approx 2k miles a month.
It relatively has an easy life on the M25/M40 - lol.

2006 Accord CL7, just rolled over 244k km / 150k miles. . despite an exhaust leak caused from rust where the converter bolts on and the constant VSA and ABS lights, all is well lol

Just an update since my last post back in 2017

I still have the Accord and its now passed 260,000 miles last week.

Recent repairs include
-New Upper control arm (driver side) worn bush)
-Upper power steering hose leak (remove and replace) - common issue on our cars
-Lower power steering cooler (rusted and perished)

Thats it.

Still has the original turbo/exhaust/clutch/DMF/timing chain/Wheel bearings

Keep on trucking!

Due to the ULEZ expansion next year in Aug 2023 the Accord may have to go.
Such a shame as its still a great car to drive and can easily achieve 60mpg. (around 70 mpg in the summer months)
It has never let me down and always starts every morning to go to work.

I have no idea what to replace it when the times comes that is ULEZ complaint and can do similar MPG.
Lexus IS300h perhaps? So expensive though

Surely Honda already have something up their sleeve that is ULEZ compliant, though it may not be in these waters quite yet.

No tourers planned though

My Type S Tourer is on 253,000 and still going strong! Had her on a track recently!

This is great to see... I've just hit 177k and was thinking of trading it in for a 1.9 TDI But if the accord can manage the high miles I'll still with it alittle longer!

I would be interested to know if yours is still plowing on...

Hiya "justlurking"

Yep I still have it and its still going.

I recently acquired my brothers old 2002 Honda Jazz, that car will be used as my ULEZ car so the Accord can stay for now as my work commute doesn't involve any ULEZ roads :)

Its now at 282,802 miles - still going strong.

I just did the usual oil change yesterday, along with gearbox oil change, EGR valve clean, MAP and MAF sensor clean too.
All makes a word of difference. Especially the gearbox oil.

Very likely to achieve 300k or very close to it by the end of the year.
Got over 70 mpg on my commute this morning.

The Accord still impresses me after all these years.
