Anyone able to help here

My 2005 diesel has kindly decided to stop reading BOTH of my keys in the immobiliser. The fobs still work and lock/unlock as normal, but put key into ignition and turn on the green key light just flashes (and obviously the car wont fire)

I used the car in the daytime with no problems, but went to go out in the evening and was faced with this.

Anyone know a quick easy fix ??

Or more importantly, why this happened ??

Possible the immobiliser receiver( the bit around the ignition switch) they are common to fail with no warning. Will need to take it to a Honda dealer or someone with an hds

Getting it to the dealer's is not so easy when you can't actually start the car. Breakdown cover doesn't want to know as it's at home and I've got no 'at home' cover. Going to have to arrange a 'recovery' to the dealers once Ive finished work on monday (as they are shut from lunchtime today until Monday morning.

Firstly check the battery (under the hood) if it's flat or discharged, Immo system will not run.
Secondly, was car triggered with jumper cables?? If yes, are keys were in the ignition? If yes you could burn immo system in ECU.
Thirdly, have you checked the batteries in the remote?

I've got HDS, maybe i can help.
