6th Gen Accord
Hi all

I figured I'd post this up to help some of you out there;
My 6th Gen Accord 2.0 ES Coupe had an intermittent starting problem, happened on a hot day in summer and twice after I'd filled up and went to leave. The other day it became less intermittent and more permanent, so I started googling it and it seems the main relay is the likely culprit, but I couldn't fine many definitive pictures or locations for the coupe, plus when I looked under the dash I couldn't see much that looked like the 'Mitsuba' relays I'd seen online, and none of mine said 'main relay' on them either as I'd seen in the pics.

So anyway, after some routing around, listening, holding them to feel them click etc I determined it was the following Siemans relay:

Middle of picture to the left of the white plug/sensor.

So once you remove the bracket and take it out, you can split it apart:

(that's after being re-soldered)

Now, as per all the online descriptions, you're looking for dry joints. I couldn't see any obvious ones on mine, but there were a few that looked like they maaaybe had some tiiiiny cracks in them, so my friend re-soldered them all to be sure.

Re-fitted and so far so good, starts hot and cold.

So that, my Honda friends, is what to look for in the coupe. Hope that helps.
