Led bulbs for rear lights

About to order LED fittings. Which colour bulbs, is it neccessary to put red bulbs behind red lenses. Will white give better light or be too 'pimk' same goes for turn signal amber or white. Any thouights on this dilemma

Thanks Jav been looking at your diy job on the lights which has prompted me to go ahead and fit led's. For tali/ side light you fitted red smd's which one, do you have an e-bay No.
