Okay here it goes. My car, a 2001 Cl1 Euro R petrol is acting the maggot.

When I bought the car last week I was told about the dodgy fuel gauge, I was also given a brand new replacement gauge bought from Honda for €209!
When I was driving the car home with a full tank the needle seemed to just stay at 3/4's full and the light remained on. I have since replaced the fuel gauge with the new one, on the new one the needle rests at 0 and the light stays on, even with a full tank.
I checked any block connectors I could see to make sure they were all connected properly, everything SEEMS okay and looks original.
I took out the fuel sender to check for any breaks in contacts/dirty contact. I couldnt SEE anything but then again its hard to tell with electrical parts if they are faulty.
Once again I swapped the fuel clocks back and the original clock is acting the same and staying at 3/4's and the light is still staying on.

Can anybody tell me where the earthing points are? Im going to borrow another set of clocks to double check its not the circuit board on the back.
If anybody can shed any light on this it would be great because Im blue in the face searching google and anybody Ive spoken too has never had a problem like this on a CL1

Sounds like the fuel sender unit is faulty. Get one from a breakers it shouldn't cost more than 60 quid.
