My wife was driving my car yesterday and said that she pressed the brake pedal and it went down to the floor. Fortunately she was only just moving and stopped it with the handbrake. Then, she said the pedal pumped up and behaved normally. Needless to say I went out in it when she returned and try as I may I couldn't replicate the fault, nor has it happened previously. Would a master cylinder problem manifest in this way?, No leaks and a full fluid reservoir, thanks chaps, Rod.
