Where do I start?!?! The problems:

Intermittent flashing Green Key Light, along with the handbrake, tailgate and coil light on dashboard when vehicle is locked, stationery and key removed.
Immobiliser is draining the battery.
Central locking intermittently working when using key.
Indicator and side lights start flashing (but no alarm sound). Car does not know whether it's locked/open and therefore arming/disarming itself.
Passenger side back window has started opening by itself. Could it be a faulty solenoid?
If car locked and key removed from ignition can still open the electric windows (is this normal?)

I now have very little faith in my local Swansea Honda Dealer as 1st time I took my 04 Accord CDTI Tourer in they told me it was a keycode, 2nd time it was a new battery and ECU update (£180 so far), and now 3rd time their telling me it needs a new "Gauge Control Module" at £703 + £140 labour which may or may not resolve the other 2 faults of glow plug module 2 & 3 not working!!! To top it all off when driving it home from there last night my Engine Maintenance light was on and I can't go over 2000 revs or get Cruise Ctrl to work (never had this prob b4 only since they've been looking at it)!!!!

Anyway I've managed to track down Honda part No: 78120-SEG-E11 (METER ***Y., SPEED & TACHO & FUEL & TEMPERATURE) from a Scrappy at £75 but does anyone know if it will work properly if I get a car electrician to fit it or do I have to go through a Honda Dealer/Specialist?? I'm at my wits end!

Thanks in advance.

i havnt replaced one as yet but you may well be able to change it your self but you wont be able to keep the same mileage. ime sure there is a process to follow using honda's diagnostic computer that you may have to pay a dealer to carry out afterwards. by the sounds of things your dealer has not commited them selves to anything so the seccond hand route is your most sensible option. it doesnt help having so many faults at once! did you say in a prevous thread you havnt long bought the car?

That's right, but sods law all these probs started after the 30 day warranty expired, and I doubt anyone could be that clever to mask these issues for that period of time!

I would certainly have a go at fitting it myself if i were you. Worst case scenario you may need you mileage altering and there are plenty of places that will do that for you a lot cheaper than Honda.

Gauge set is just 5 screws and one plug, just swap over thats all. just make sure you get one for a Accord diesel prior 2006...

Might want to check that. I'm sure car dealers have to offer 90 days as standard.
