Middle console cup holder cover removal, help!

Hey all, I'm having trouble trying to remove the cup holder / hand break cover.

I've got the other panels off with no issues for a respray but does anyone know how to remove this bit properly? I've tried for hours trying to find information and videos online to no avail.

If you have trim removal tools or similar it should just lever and pop out if I remember correctly. Took mine off for some reason after removing the gear surround fitting a shirt shifter

Well I got it out but it is cracked in two places, it came up fine from the back by pulling up, but the 2 clips at the front were extremely stubborn, it was impossible to get down there with a pry tool as well. I think the only way to do it properly is to remove the whole console and go from underneath which I didn't want to do.

I will add some lubricant when I fit it all back again just in case I need to remove them again in the future.

Anyway it is out, I ordered another off eBay for £9.70 so not costly really and I am respraying it anyway, at least all the middle panels are off now and ready!!

Oh well, at least the replacement hasn't cost a fortune, it's always a bit of a risk with trim that's not screwed in place!
