My cars in the garage getting its 6 cd player taken out and sent off to Alpine as its taken an instant dislike to any cd's that I try and insert (had the car 9 months and its never worked), while its out I thought it would be a good idea to fit some kind of mp3 lead that I could play tunes on from phone/non ipod mp3 player. Have seen on another post

that you appear to need this interface box for £80. Pervious cars, I've just bought a £5 lead, and off you go. Do you really need this expensive box or can I just get a cheapo lead ? If so, whats the connection lead type (3mm jack?). I did ask at the main dealers but it was like asking a builder, 'big deep breath, suck the teeth and 'it'll cost you' was the response!
