I noticed in my check of the -ve battery terminal points last week that the nearside engine mount did not have much rubber left in it, and may explaiin the odd knocking noises from under the bonnet.

While I was able to fix/replace the drivers side a couple of years ago without much difficulty, this looks to be somewhat more complicated to get to.

So, is it an item that can be replaced with basic tools ?

Thanks in advance

Thanks, I didn't know there was an aftermarket solution available.
bushings come in all shapes and sizes, but finding the right one might be tricky

can confirm polyurethane sealant works, have used betaseal and sikatack elite - the latter definitely cures faster and has a bit more give when cured. always use an activator for best results :p

Without knowng where to start looking (Ebay / Amazon threw up no results for the Tourer, but plenty for VW/Fords) I'm going down the DIY route.

Finding a spare day, possibly two to park the car up.
