i am looking for a bit of advice as i have only had my accord a few months. the noise started a few weeks ago and sounded like a flat spot on a tyre, this has slowly got worse untill now the noise is driving me mad.
when you jack the car up there is a scufing noise like the disc is rubbing on something. When the wheel is removed the noise stops and there is no weight on the hub the noise stops. i was wondering if the wheel bearing would be the problem. any advice would fantastic.

cheers willie.

Swop the rear wheels over. If the noise stays on the same corner then you can rule out the wheel/tyre.
Check that the backing plate isn't rubbing on the brake disc, or if there's debris caught between them.
With the car jacked up and the wheel still in place, try rocking the wheel from top to bottom and side to side to check for any play in the wheel bearing.

i have tried to rock the wheel when it was on the jack and there was no play in it. also there is no debris stuck anywhere. i will try swaping the wheels tomorrow.

cheers willie
