new wheels offset question

hi I know this has been explained somewhere on forum before but want to double check before I waste my cash,i have standard oem 16 inch alloys on my 2003 tourer looking at replacing them for set of 17s off a 2009 Honda accord the only difference I can see is the offset on my wheels are 55 on newer alloys 40.Any ideas if the 40 offset will cause issues in any way or is just straight alloy change with no hassle.cheers mike

There shouldn't be any issues, it's just the lower offset will make the wheels stick slightly further out of the wheel arches, though if you've lowered the car, then you could have further issues.
