Oil for petrol engine!

again i'm looking for the oil change and i come to two choice of oil of which i should buy:

1. TOTAL QUARTZ 9000 5W-40 http://www.totaloil.com.au/Pages/content/NT0000C302.pdf 5L / £24

2. Liqui Moly Synthoil High Tech 5 W-40 http://www.liqui-moly.de/liquimoly/mediendb.nsf/gfx2/1306%20Synthoil%20High%20Tech%20SAE%205W-40_EN.pdf/$file/1306%20Synthoil%20High%20Tech%20SAE%205W-40_EN.pdf 5L + 300ml engine flush / £35

looking at data spec and the price i would buy the Total 9000, because in the spec are very close, minor differences.

is really liqui more better than total in this two oils to justify the price between them?

what you would choose between this two?

I use 5 W 30 silkoline pro from opie oils.
This is a great oil for our petrol engines.

the same i'm sure that a lot of members maybe use castrol, mobil 1 and even Triple QX 5w40 who says it's made by valvoline and rebrand for carpart4less and it's Full Syntetic but I'm not so sure...can anyone with certain proof to confirm this, otherwise it's 0

so other oils cheaper then the post above and full syntetic i didn't find...and being a 5L

Brett mentioned Silkolene because that along with Redline are arguably the best oils money can buy bar none.

If you want "proof" do some Googling of the term 'ester synthetic'.

But the best doesn't come cheap and you may not want to pay that sort of money.

If not then check out lubetechshop.co.uk before you make your decision.
 
As Cliff said he couldn't of put it better.If you want the best it comes with a price and iv used this oil from day 1 and will use it as long as i keep the car.
Also opie are doing some great discounts every week so have a look in the trader section for there deals.
 
i put in Castrol 5/30 fully synth. Car runs very well since i got it, doesnt use up any oil.

whats the thought on Castrol? as for the engine flush i think its not advised to use them they remove natural oils from internal moving parts and its best to use a good oil, no more no less.

As Eric said don't use an engine flush as with good oil and regular changes the car don't need it.
