Pairing Problems

Hi can anyone help and tell me if I can find or change the 4 digit code which enables me to pair my phone up to the console ? You see I recently bought a 2006 Accord Ex and the previous owner had already set up a 4 digit code to pair his phone up and hadnt told me the correct 4 digit code. Would theirbe anyway of getting around this.

A lucky guess is you best bet - have you tried 0000, 1234 or a few of the other common ones?

Welcome try resetting the system to get rid of all names and stored phones.
Im sure you dont need the code for this.

You should also be able to set-up another phone anyway, I think it will allow up to three or four phones.

Everytime I try to set up a new phone it keeps asking me for the 4 digit passcode. How do I reset it ?

Right iv just found out the only way you can clear the 4 digit code if you dont have it.
The system can only be cleared by using the HDS tester.
If you haven't got one i suggest trying to locate the previous owner or take the car to a main dealer.

I think there is way to clear this code yourself.if I remeber right brett.this was on your thread.you need to press phone button on your steerin
g wheel and say system clear and it will give you options ,status,clear,pair and delete.press button again and say delete.this should clear the system.good luck.
