i just got my accord last week and needed a new alternator, got one fitted for about 90 quid car has ran mint for the past 5 days only for it to pack in again

any one any idear on what would cause a car to go thru 2 alternators in a week ?

sorry to hear that, where did you source the alternator from? Could be a faulty batch. also if you have a volt meter try checking voltage to see what the car is currently producing and maybe go from there.

Could be an electrical fault that is causing the alternator to burn out

That's gutting mate.

The only thing i can suggest is a battery cell? Give them a quick check. But apart from that i can't think of anything else.
