Hello all,
I'm looking into buying new 18" alloys to replace my current 17" standard alloys.
I never realised how confusing buying new alloys is and just need some advice!
now i'v got so far in knowing I will be using 225/40/18 tyres, and the alloys should be 18"x8J.
What I need help with is the offset...
I'm seeing conflicting posts constantly and just need to know what offset I actually need.
how far out can I go? if the offset was say ET55 and I wanted a set of ET42 alloys is there any way around to make them fit?
when do bearings etc start to strain? will I have rubbing issues on the arches with a lower offset?
Thanks in advance!
