Hi I've just bought my first 54 plate Accord Exec, first post on here also.

One problem is the sat nav screen is telling me a disc needs to be installed and the digital clock has an incorrect time, I believe this can't be changed without the disc installed as almost any button I press around the screen will just take me to the error screen so I can't open up any menus.

I have the latest sat nav file v2.11 on my computer but it is in .cdr format (not sure if this needs to be changed to .iso or something else)

I have the correct discs to burn it onto, DVD+R DL, but I am unsure what I need to burn it as, either CD, DVD, Image etc.

Also is there any way I can test if the DVD Drive is working mechanically, does it read normal audio CDs or Video DVDs and will it still read them without the satnav installed.

Just took it all apart and tried cleaning the lens with a cotton bud and alcohol but no luck, still the same 'DVD Disc is reading an error' message.

So it's either the discs or the drive is gone.

I don't suppose anyone has a known working disc I could try if anyone is kind enough, could save me buying a whole new drive.
