Having an issue with my Accord. The key fob only unlocks the drivers door. Pressing it a second time makes a noise (fuel cap I believe) but does not unlock the passenger doors or boot. I’ve been searching online, but can’t find much mention of a similar issue.
The key works to lock all doors, and opens the boot with the boot button
The inside button unlocks all doors
I have swapped the key battery with another battery that should have charge, no difference
I’ve tried reprogramming the key by holding down lock and unlock, no luck
Car works fine, purely just no action from the second unlock press.
Bought the car used, only came with one key and the key is not original, the buttons arent the same as a previous accord I owned.
I took all the doors apart recently to (poor) wrap the car, car battery died but I recharged and works fine. I doubt I damaged anything actuator wise, and it still locks normally and unlocks from inside.
Might get a brand new battery to and see if that helps, or maybe I’ll just have to get a whole new one cut (+€200 so not ideal), as this non oem one might just be at end of life. Anyone experience this problem? Very annoying when trying to drive friends places + car will auto lock as only the drivers door was unlocked.
