Hi all,

I've searched on here and the mighty google (other search engines available) to find the sevice schedule for the 6th Gen, but so far no luck

Mine is 52 plate (83k), coming up for it's next service. Last was a level 1.....is it as simple as next is level 2?....and what's in a level 2?
 
It depends if you follow the official "Whatever Comes First" age or miles from Honda.

Has your timing and balancer belt been done? I am currently about to do the 132month service on my 2002, after that I will revert back to the 48mth and follow that so that the timing belt falls at least on the right month again (@96mth) from the 1st one.

It's the 90,000 miles / 120 months service.

Timing belt was done at 66,000 miles
 
So looking at the list, this time round I need:

  • Oild change
  • Oil filter
  • Fuel filter


But from last service the following wasn't done so perhaps I should book it all in:

  • Air filter
  • Spark plugs
  • Front differential fluid
  • Rear differential fluid
  • Engine coolant system
  • Inspect & adjust timing belts


This is gonna be a pricey service! :eek:
 
You don't have a front or rear diff so you can cross them off the list (well you have a diff in the gearbox {transaxle}) so it would have been covered if the gearbox oil was changed at 72k.

I've got howto's for the fuel filter, oil and filter change and spark plugs. The air filter and sparks are easy and I can knock together a howto for them.

The coolant change is just undoing a plug at the bottom of the radiator, draining it and reservoir and refilling then a simple bleed process. I can do a guide for this too.

The aux belts, if they aren't squealing, aren't too tight or loose and don't looked cracked on the ribbed side then you have inspected your belts ;)

It need an MOT as well - the local garage (not a Honda garage) will do all that and MOT and engine flush for £150.....I honestly don't have the time or space to do the work myself so think I'll just leave it with them
 
If your oil services have been maintained I wouldn't bother with the flush personally, save a couple of quid. Honda don't do it. ;)

No need to flush your engine. Nobody normally does. So save your money on that ;)
 
didn't have the flush but went to the main dealer - MOT & level 2 service £229.....not bad.....the car feels very nice at the moment! Very smooth!
 
Hey, so another year has passed already and it's due for the run of MOT, service, insurance and tax all in one go! Yippee.....

I can't work out how the honda serving works. I have 92k on the clock, 52 plate so I ***ume month 162? Last service was a level 2.

Looking at the schedule above I'm on for small one this year and big next year? the pattern seems to be 1, 2, 3, 2, 1, 4, 1, 2, 3, 2, 1, 4, 1.........

So basically oil change, oil filter, fuel filter?

Am I right or way off.
