Hi im wanting to buy some engine oil to top my car up between services at the moment im using between1.5-2litres between service which is serviced religiously by honda every 12.5k i do 1500-2k of miles a week ive just noticed today ive been topping up with shell helix ultra 5w-30 instead of 0w-30 is this bad?????
After talking to a mod last night he advised me to get oil from Lubetec but dont want 25lts been looking on oil lube site and they are selling shell helix as ow-30 will this be ok my car is honda accord tourer 2.2 diesel.
Or if any1 has any other suggestions cheers in advance,
Also just purchased battery from HH through forum link cheers £38 bargain

David mate 5w-30 wont kill your car but as i said use 0w-30 from now on.As for the brand its a good oil and members hear do use it.
As what we disused last night i think you will get the same response David.
I would still strongly recommend changing your oil every 6.5 with taxi driving.

Got 131k on clock now brett 100k of them are taxi miles and runs sweet punters cant believe milage when i tell them and thats with service at 12.5 k had my problems had new clutch flywheel fitted after 102k and a vsa module (actually 3 clutches as 1st one was faulty 2nd backed in after 11k of miles. Now im having trouble with lights blowing . But compared to volvos ive had in past this beats them hands down plus costs 6p a mile less on fuel. But ive decided to change oil like you have suggested every 6.5 k never done one before but practice makes perfect
