Hi everyone

So some idiot decided to smash my window. Front passenger window glass and the left rear quarter glass.

Managed to get hold of replacement glass, should arrive this week.

Any pointers on replacing would be appreciated.

If I ever catch the scum who did this...

Can't ***ist with the replacement but if you know the approx time they were broken then check if neighbours across the road have a doorbell with camera subscription.

Anything stolen ? breaking a quarterlight is easier to quieten (with a cloth around the brick)

Thanks channel hopper. Was smashed when parked away from home. No cctv around.

The only thing they took was a chocolate galaxy bar. Hope they choke on it.

Just had another look at the pictures.... Gosh the car is dirty ...

Make sure you vacuum every nook and cranny. Glass ends up in the weirdest places. If the rear seats pops out vacuum under there as well.

If you are replacing the glass yourself it can be a bit of a puzzle to work out the angle at which the front glass slips in. (No experience doing this on the Accord but have done other cars)

You'll probably find a video on it or similar, found this one although tis a newer model:

for the shards you can't get out, because there will inevitably be some inside the door(s) stuck behind reinforcements or down where the outer skin is wrapped around the inner, best case scenario it is ground into a fine dust over time, worst case scenario it dents your door skins from the inside out after getting wedged further and further in. spray loads of cavity wax in there to keep the glass shards from moving, bonus rustproofing, just don't clog the drain holes

Thanks for all your responses lads. Great advice and links.

Much appreciated

Hi Everyone

Managed to replace the front and rear window over the weekend.

Not too bad of a job to do. Just make sure all broken glass is removed and vacuumed out as best as you can.
