Space saver wheel

Hi I have just purchased a space saver and tool kit from eBay: am I right in that I take out all the old fittings which hold the sealant and generator and drop in new wheel and cover which has recesses for the tools;wonder if there is any second hand value in the bits I am discarding as everything is as new and seems a shame just to bin it??

There must be hundreds of those bits lying about in sheds/garages, and yes you are right a shame to bin them, but who would want them? The tourer will take a full sized wheel when the plastic has been thrown out. and the tools will lay in the wheels well.

Sure: what strikes me is that this kit what with the little generator would surely have cost as much for Honda as a space saver?? Maybe it's weight considerations

ALL TO DO WITH WEIGHT AND EMISSIONS, keep the electric pump they do work but the bottle of goo and the foam surround will have to go. the tools can be put into a bag and lay in the wheel.
